Books and Bargains: Reserve Tag Sale Space

Filed In:

September 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Bye, bye stuff a.k.a. treasure for someone else. Bag, box and bring your stuff to a reserved tag sale space on the library lawn for book sale patrons to browse and buy. A $15 donation to Friends of the Library reserves your space (rain or shine—sorry no refunds!) when you sign up at the library. Bring your own table(s) and pop-up canopy. Set-up is at 7 a.m. through the Sylvester Street gate and clean-up is at 3:30 p.m. Fourteen marked spaces are available (approximately 14' by 10') on a first-come, first-served basis.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

We can’t turn the page on another Friends of the Library successful book sale without saying merci, gracias, danke, tak, grazie and do jeh to:

  • Our hard-working, book-toting, friendly army of more than 45 volunteers…
  • Our donors who set aside wonderful books for us to sell…
  •  The ever-dedicated, Kinderhook Boy Scout Troop 113, leaders and their parents…
  • The Kinderhook Garden Club and Samacotts for sturdy tents, so necessary to protect customers and books…
  • Kinderhook Wine and Spirits for saving all those Franzia boxes for us (it’s true—we love those boxes!)…
  • Our library trustees, dedicated staff and director Julie Johnson…
  • And of course, our book-loving customers! This sale would not have been possible without you!

Help is needed on Friday, Saturday or Sunday for an hour or longer to set up tents, organize and sell books, break down after the sale and prepare books for recycling.
